about

The second release from the PL, Memento Mori abandons the fuzzed-out hardcore of their debut in favor of a baffling pastiche of crust punk, stoner drone metal, live performance art, acoustic folk balladry, and rhythmic experimentation. This is the sort of record that would surely have alienated fans---thankfully, the PL didn't have any.

Highlights include the live performance staple "Slaughter the High Priests of the Golden Calf," as well as the lengthy tribute jam "Rottensexydeath (Television Version)," and hipster favorite "Cheap Bottles."

Side Note: This album actually had a tour. And it was pretty hype.
